Hmm, I think I first heard it in like assassins creed or something, maybe before then? But I love the Italian language in general, it is beautiful, my favourite. Though I am rather rubbish at it....

xD I'm really glad you do! I am an Italian studying in Canada,and even there,I see the Italian language everywhere!
I feel like people think it sounds cool,however,nobody knows the meaning of the words they are using ;w;
For example,Starbucks uses a lot of Italian words for its products,but really,they don't realize that some words are totally out of place (or mispelled) >_<
For us Italians this could be a bit annoying,because our language is being abused in a way,but at the same time we're happy that foreigners think it's cool! :)

Yes, a lot of people miss-use the language, and even myself (with my limited understanding of it) find it terribly annoying. Though I can assure you most people like it as a language. It is actually my favourite, I hope to learn it properly one day. :D

Haha,you joke and everything,but I hardly think you realize how much Americans misuse Italian words just because they sound cool. We Italians find it pretty irritating.
